We won mHack 2023 with an MVP for the mObywatel app
1st place at mHack, the hackathon organised by Poland's Central IT Centre (COI): an MVP for mObywatel that lets people check products and file warranty complaints in minutes.
We took 1st place at mHack 2023, the hackathon organised by Centralny Ośrodek Informatyki — the team behind mObywatel, Poland’s official citizen app used by millions of people.
The challenge
Teams had to build an MVP that could become part of mObywatel, using open public data. We focused on something almost everyone has faced: buying a product that turns out to be faulty or unsafe, and then giving up on the warranty claim because of the paperwork.
What we built
Our app checks a product against UOKiK’s public registers of dangerous and non-compliant goods and shows the result instantly. If something is wrong, a guided wizard collects the details and photos, AI summarises the issue, and the backend generates a ready-to-send complaint document and emails it. A chore that used to take an afternoon now takes a few taps.

What we took away
Building for a government app used by millions means thinking about clarity, accessibility and trust from the very first screen. That mindset — simple for users, solid under the hood — is exactly what we bring to client projects today.
