The challenge
Hack4Change 2025, partnered by the Ministry of Digital Affairs, asked where technology meets ecology. Litter on trails and in parks is a problem everyone sees, but picking it up rarely feels rewarding — we wanted to make it part of the activities people already enjoy.
What we built
GarboGo! tracks your route and the trash you collect while you walk, run, trek or cycle. Finds land on a shared map of littered places, every activity earns points and coins, and users can join personal or company challenges and events, climb the leaderboard and spend coins in a marketplace. A NestJS and GraphQL backend powers the Expo mobile app.
